Chicken EQ gives equalisation a new geometry. Up to six bands live on an original radial surface where angle finds frequency and distance sets gain. Make any gain-bearing band fixed or downward-only adaptive. Tenderizer clears what sticks out before you shape; Pop Top adds a broad upper lift reaching beyond conventional hearing that opens the audible top end beautifully after. It is deep enough for exacting work and direct enough to keep you listening.
The product is alive. Incoming audio wakes the meters, nodes and chicken. Shape by ear.
WHY IT IS DIFFERENT
Most equalisers make cleanup, tonal intent and final top-end finish compete on one technical chart. Chicken EQ gives each job its own stage, then puts the shaping inside a radial field invented for fast, direct moves. The eyes are watching. The judgment is not.
It does not chase whatever is loudest. A zero-latency detector compares each region with the sound's own local spectral neighbourhood, preserves transients and presses resonant, harsh, ringing or muddy protrusions back toward that envelope. Tender sets how much. Focus moves from broad polish to surgical control. Listen reveals exactly what leaves.
The 270-degree split-log horseshoe puts the spectrum in one compact musical field. Angle chooses frequency. Distance from the chicken sets boost or cut. The middle of the spectrum naturally holds the top of the view, but the invention is the complete radial gesture language.
Each of up to six analog-matched gain-bearing bands can hold a fixed curve or add downward-only adaptive movement beneath it. Threshold, ratio, attack, release and a reduction limit decide exactly when it reacts. Frequency and Q stay where you put them.

THE RADIAL INVENTION
Six full-featured bands share one 270-degree musical field. The visual language tells you where, how much and when a band is working without turning the session into graph management.
Low frequencies begin at the lower left, one kilohertz sits at twelve o'clock and the highest audible frequencies land at the lower right on a precise split-log scale.
Pull a node toward the chicken to cut. Push it outward to boost. The relationship between every band and neutral stays visible at a glance.
Switch any gain-bearing band from fixed to adaptive. Its halo shows downward gain reduction and its limit, while the node keeps your authored frequency, gain and Q.

A 96-point log-spaced detector compares each region with its local spectral neighbourhood, preserves transients and presses only the protruding problem back toward the sound.
Up to six analog-matched radial bands work in fixed or cut-only adaptive mode, with the full filter family for broad musical shaping and narrow repair.

Beta testing underway
Chicken EQ is being built as its own standalone plug-in and as the new fixed EQ inside Chicken Strip. The public installer is not available yet.
